BACKGROUND

Founded in 1899, Cape Fear Country Club is the oldest private country club in North Carolina. Along with an 18-hole original Donald Ross designed golf course, they feature first-rate tennis, swimming, fitness facilities, dinning, youth activities and social events.

Having completed a successful award-winning, long-term Facilities Master Plan for improved Clubhouse Dining facilities and a Family Activity Center for recreational amenities, the Club re-engaged Chambers for enhancements to their Men’s Lounge and a new Golf Performance Center.

OUR APPROACH

The Golf Performance Center includes three hitting bays with an adjacent lounge that boasts an open and inviting feel. A mix of textures and finishes in light colors create a casual yet sophisticated aesthetic with etched glass walls overlooking the hitting bays. Restrooms, office and storage areas help to make this a well-rounded, functional space.

The new design for the Men’s Lounge features a horseshoe-shaped, cross-talk bar surrounded by various styles of dining tables and soft seating areas. Upgraded décor throughout the space helps enhance the casual pub-style atmosphere.
